The North Carolina Association of Educators (NCAE) today released a report card grading every member of the General Assembly. According to its president Sheri Strickland, “NCAE looked at the voting records of legislators that reflect action on a number of issues addressing students and schools and the level of support the General Assembly provided to public schools during challenging budgetary times.” While 49 House members received failing grades, Rep. Grier Martin earned an “A” grade. “I am proud to be recognized by our State’s teachers for my work supporting our schools in a tough budgetary time,” said Martin. “If we are going to bring jobs to our state, it is crucial that we continue to protect and improve our education system.” For more on the report card visit NCAE’s website.
